Pretty Pink Posh Product Release Blog Hop

Thursday, August 6, 2015

Hello! Welcome to my blog--if you are stopping by from the blog of, Jeanane Jachna. Today is an exciting day because Pretty Pink Posh has come out with another great collection of steal dies. Paulina, has released: Stitched Speech Bubbles Dies, Storybook 1 Dies, and Twine and Bows Dies.
The stitched Speech bubble dies would be great for pairing with Lawn Fawn critters; or ever creating some speech bubble cupcake toppers for a party. You could also use these stitched speech bubbles dies as little windows in your cards and have a sentiment in one window with a little critter peaking out of the other. There are tons of possibilities for this this set.

I just love the Storybook 1 dies, set. I love how the stitching on the largest rectangle would work perfectly for crating a shaker card but it would leave an amazing stitched edge details on your cardstock and still have a window for your shaker. Much like the shaker shown below (the mermaid card), so you can image how awesome that card would look with stitched detailing around the boarder.

The twine and Bows dies has got to be one of my favs from this collection. I think it's so unique and I can definitely image all the things you could create with this set, especially for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. I really like that there are three different size bows, and I would just love how these would look on any project!
Now for the fun part! Paulina is going to give away two $25 gift certificates to those who leave comments on any of the blogs along this hop. The winners will be picked randomly and comments must be left by 11:59pm PDT on 8/9/2015; and, the winners will be announced on the Pretty Pink Posh blog.

Next on the hop is, Lisa Elton--Thank you so much for stopping by and if you get lost on the hop I have included the full list of blog participants!

The full blog hop list is as follows:

Pretty Pink Posh Watercolor Blog Hop

Thursday, June 4, 2015

Today I'm joining with lots of other crafters in the Pretty Pink Posh Watercolor Blog hop. All we had to do was create a card using the watercolor technique and I choose to simply create an abstract background using three different distress ink colors. I own a wide variety of watercoloring tools but I always seem to go back to distress inks time and time again. I feel like the colors are so vibrant and they mix together so well.

I'm also using a few Pretty Pink Posh products to create this card, like the new 6mm iridescent sequins, Sunshine Glow. I'm also using the stitched cloud die from the set, Stitched borders 2--also by PPP.

Blog Hop Details: This hop is officially open to the public tomorrow (June 5th at 6:00am PST) and ends June 8th at 11:55pm PST. So you'll be able to create your watercolor creations and link them up on the PPP blog. You can click here to head over to the Pretty Pink Posh blog hop!

Additional info: If we can get 100 entries, Paulina will donate a $20 gift certificate to Ellen Hutson orSimon Says Stamp. 200 entries? She'll donate another! For every 100 entries (up to 500) there will be an extra $20 gift certificate!

I hope you really enjoyed this card and thank you so much for stopping by!

Have a Sweet Birthday--with Video

Thursday, May 21, 2015

Hi there! I think this might be the first time that I've had two posts' in one day but since I'm on multiple design teams now this may be a regular occurrence from time to time--the more cards the better, right? So, today I'm sharing a video that I created for the Lawn Fawn blog and Youtube channel. I'm making a CAS shaker card using the adorable stamp set, Baked with Love. Baked with Love, has so many amazing images with cute and punny sentients to match.

Playful Pups--Mama Elephant New Release

Monday, May 18, 2015

Today Mama Elephant is showcasing their adorable new stamp set, Playful Pups, this set contains several super cute puppy images and clever matching sentiments! I just love the two puppy images I used for the card shown above--especially the pup with the little envelope in it's mouth; and, this stamp set works for year round projects (which is always a huge plus for us stampers), too, yay!

I've been really obsessed with using distress inks with the applicators to achieve subtle ombre looks, lately (so fun). I also used the dies from the ME creative cuts collection, Basic set. I also used some Pretty Pink Posh sequins for the shaker part of the card. PPP sequins always add so much to any card!

Don't forget you can leave a comment on Saturdays post to win a stamp set! Click here for your chance to win.

Exciting News!

Thursday, April 30, 2015

I have some exciting news--I'm on the Pretty Pink Posh design team! I've been a big fan of PPP since her shop first opened. If you've been following PPP from the beginning, as well, you may have already seen some of my work with Paulina's Shop, including the grand opening blog hop. I just love all of the products that PPP carries and I love how they add a little something special to my cards. Since the opening of her shop, Paulina, has also added so many other great products to her collection of items and they are all so great.

Now that you've read the awesome news you can go play a fun game Paulina created and get a chance to win a $50 Pretty Pink Posh gift card. Below is a collection of cards, each of the girls on the DT (including the three new designers) have created one of the cards shown in the game image and all you have to do is guess which card/letter belongs to which designer. Super fun and simple right?!
To make things a little bit easier we're each going to give a little hint as to which cards is ours; so, here is mine: These are on high demand during summer months. I hope that gets you one step closer to winning the prize! Now that you have your hint head on over to the PPP blog by, clicking here, and leave your answers in the the comments.  Good luck and thank you for stopping by!

Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week--Critters In The Jungle

Monday, April 13, 2015

I love creating cards for inspiration week--and I hope you've enjoyed all of the cards the Lawn Fawn design team has created thus far. Today we are creating with the adorable stamp set, Critters in the Jungle. I absolutely love this set. The adorable images and sweet sentiments are so much fun to create with. I think you may have noticed that my favorite image in this set is the elephant. Lawn Fawn images are always so adorable and irresistible! What's create is that this stamp set (like many other LF sets) comes with so many little images and elements to create a scene on  your card.

Aside from using the, Critters in the Jungle stamp set and it's coordinating dies, I also used the mini set, Love you Tons, for the "Love you Tons" sentiment. For the shaker window and panel I used the stitched rectangle stackables as well as the Stitched Squares Stackables dies. When I was creating this card I was thinking of using a plain white card base (to go behind the shaker panel) but this card was fun and colorful so I thought it would be nice to have a bit of color in the background so I pulled out my trusty Lawn Fawn 6x6 paper pad--the Let's Polka Mon Amie collection and used this green striped paper, mint line dance. For a bit of added charm I also used some of the new lawn trimmings in Tangerine. For the shaker I used the new Lime Sorbet sequins by Pretty Pink Posh as well as the Marshmallow sequins, and Sparkling clear sequins.

I hope you've enjoyed this card and thank you so much for stopping by!

Dream Big--Pretty Pink Posh, Stitched Banner Duo

Thursday, April 9, 2015

I thought it would be fun to create a custom banner for my craft room--So I'm using the Stitched Banner duo dies by, Pretty Pink Posh, to make it! This banner die is so adorable and mini--which makes for a cute banner. Not only could you use this die to create banners but you could also use it as a panel for a greeting card, a tag for a oversized treat bag, or even a cake topper! The possibilities are endless this with this great product. I'm so happy that the stitching detail on stand alone dies is popular right now because it adds so much to an otherwise plain banner shape. I always get asked about the stitch detail on dies from individuals that don't craft so I know it's a hit with everyone!

I love that this duo die set also comes with a stitched square die! It's so great to have some variety in a die set and you could use the stitched square die for so many other things like, cupcake toppers, details for card fronts, or you can use them to cut out windows for shaker cards.

I chose the saying, "Dream Big" to remind myself to keep improving my craft and to always remember to dream big; or, bigger! As a (very small, haha) business owner I'm always thinking of ways to take my shop to the next level or offer more products. So, this reminder will always keep me on my toes.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Just Saying Hello

Tuesday, March 3, 2015

The last time I was shopping at Micheals I stopped in my tracks by this adorable Mermaid Kiddo rubber stamp image by Stampendous. I thought this would be perfect for so many things--including a greeting card. I also thought, with watercoloring being so popular right now, that this image would be perfect for that medium. This was my first time watercoloring a large image like this so I wasn't too sure how it would turn out but in the end I just loved it.

I colored in this image using only distress inks. For the ocean background I used Salty Ocean, Peacock feathers, Tumbled glass, and Chipped sapphire. That combination of blues turned out so well. I don't have any skin tone colors so I combined the colors Tattered rose, and Tea dye. Then I added Spun sugar for her cheeks. For her hair I used Scattered straw, Mustard seed, and a little bit of Tattered rose; and for her sea shells and fin I used Shabby Shutters and Bundled sage. Also, the shells she's wearing were colored in using Shaded lilac and the adorable little sea horse was colored in using both Mustard seed and Spiced Marmalade.

To finish off the card I used the 'Just saying Hello' sentiment from, Grand Greetings by Lawn Fawn on some vellum paper as well as Sparkling Clear, and Aquamarine sequins by Pretty Pink Posh.

I hope you all enjoyed this card. I had so much fun coloring it all in! Also, stay tuned for a new video by me on the Lawn Fawn blog tomorrow. If you head over to their blog you'll  noticed I have a card there for Scrapbook adhesives week and I'll be sharing how I made that card! I'll also share the video and images here on my blog, tomorrow.

Throwback Thursday--Crafty Edition

Thursday, February 26, 2015

I'm doing a crafty throw back and using this old school (well it's not really THAT old) Lawn Fawn stamp set, Grand Greetings. I created this A2 size card with a piece of watercolor cardstock and I used some dark blues, pinks, and purples for this abstract background. I also placed a piece of vellum over that watercolor piece and heat embossed the sentiment in white embossing powder. To fill the inside of this shaker card I used some Pretty Pink Posh sequins. Shaker cards are the best!

You're the Coolest

Tuesday, February 24, 2015

Hi everyone! Today I wanted to share this card that I made yesterday using a two of the new Lawn Fawn Stamp sets, Flirty Frames and Best Pun Ever. Both of which are currently for sale now! I love that the Flirty Frames have such cute and whimsical designs and that they can be used all year round--the same goes for Best Pun Ever. That set comes with some adorable images and cute sentiments to match.

When creating the background for this card I used some Canson watercolor paper, and cut it down to a A2 size. Then I adhered it to my clip board using some low tack tape and used a few distress inks to achieve the abstract background. I also did some watercoloring with the frame and popsicle images and then to add some shine I covered them in some Glossy Accents. To finish off the card I used some of the new, Sweet heart lawn trimmings, and some Pretty Pink Posh, Sparkling Clear sequins.

I hope you enjoyed this card and thank you so much for stopping by!

Pretty Pink Posh 1st Birthday Celebration--Day 3

Saturday, January 10, 2015

Welcome to day 3 of the Pretty Pink Posh 1st birthday blog hop celebration! Phew! That was a long intro. If you've never stopped by my blog before I'd like to thank you for taking the time to get to know me and my blog. However, if you already know me you'll know that I love to used PPP sequins on almost all of my cards. Paulina (owner of PPP), has the best variety if sequin colors and sizes. When her shop first opened I was apart of the grand opening celebration--and at that time she was only selling sequins, ribbon, and twine. She's come such a long way since and she's now carrying an awesome collection of US made steel dies. She was kind enough to send me a little package of new goodies (which have already been released for sale in her shop) and I had so much fun playing with them!

When creating the card shown in the image above I used the new PPP die, Stitched Duo 3. This is such a great die with so many crafting possibilities. You can use it to create an adorable window card, a shaker card, panel, or an over-sized tag! I choose to use it as a panel and I even turned it upside down. I did that because it fit the little hampster wheel better, hehe. In order to use this die to create a panel you will need a pair of wire cutters so you could separate the stitched squares out from die with ease. Aside from the cute Lawn Fawn stamps and watercolor detail I used when creating this card--I also used the awesome PPP Metallic silver sequins, in all three sizes! Don't the silver sequins look so darling?!

Paulina is offering free prizes today BUT she's also offering something super sweet, too. If you place an order from her shop today you will receive a free gift with your purchase. Head on over to the PPP blog for more information, by clicking here

Since you came here from the blog of Gayatri Murali, you'll need to hop on over to the blog of Laura Streckx. She's next up on the blog hop and she'll have an awesome sample for you to view!

Happy Hopping!

#Happy Birthday

Monday, April 7, 2014

My arsenal of handmade cards is getting pretty low now that I haven’t had any time to create for fun—plus my collection of handmade cards are always up for grabs and available to anyone in the house that needs a birthday card, or a thank you card, etc. and that’s my excuse to make personal crafting time mandatory, now. Sometimes I forget how making something new really makes me happy—not to say that crafting (for my job) in general doesn't make me happy but if you’re a crafter you can understand the excitement and joy that comes from creating something new and beautiful. Crafting for my shop is definitely satisfying and calming—which is why I have never given up on it, but I feel like those two types of crafting are different from each other in so many ways and I need to keep my personal crafting time from fading away.
I began to notice that my style of cards was starting to become only CAS; namely, because they’re the fastest to create (and I’m always busy and rushing) but this time after finishing my orders for the day I stayed up really late to make this intricate design and I’m incredibly happy with the way it turned out. Yes, it was time consuming but I felt so happy once I was finished with. I used my Mama Elephant, femme frames dies, some new lawn fawn stamp sets, #awesome and it’s coordinating lawn cuts, year four stamps and matching lawn cuts, critters ever after, and bake me a cake. I also used their new paper lines, Let’s Polka and Hello Sunshine. For a little be of shimmer I used the wink of stella glitter pen (Clear), and my Copic markers to color in all of the images.
For some extra cuteness I used the sky Lawn trimmings to make the cute bow. I also used some sequins by Pretty Pink Posh, I love Paulina’s sequins!
I hope you've enjoyed this card and I’m looking forward to making more cards, and few new tutorials and ideas, too.

How to Make Mini Journal, Part 2, Video

Friday, March 7, 2014

Today I’m super excited to be sharing this project with everyone! I’m using the new large stitched journaling die by, Lawn Fawn, to create these really adorable mini journals. If you’re a fan of Lawn Fawn you’ll know that I did a video for them last year where I showed how to create your own mini journals from scratch; however, LF came out with the most perfect die that makes mini journal making a cinch. This die was intended for scrapbooking but I love that it can also be used by crafters like me that aren’t really into scrapbooking.
In this video I’ll share how I made the journals using both of the new paper collections, Hello Sunshine and Let's Polka—both collections are made by Lawn Fawn, too. I’m also using a two of their new stamp sets: Hello Sunshine, and Starry backdrops. Both sets are amazingly versatile and really fun to use.
Take a look at this close up image above, you’ll notice the beautiful sequins I’m using. These are by Pretty Pink Posh! I love their sequins and ribbon—they add so much to all of my projects. For more details on the colors used feel free view my video below.
Now it's time for the video!
I hope you enjoyed this post and video. I had so much fun creating these mini journals and I hope I’ve inspired you to pick up all of the items used. Happy crafting!

Pretty Pink Posh Grand Opening Blog Hop!

Sunday, December 1, 2013

Today I’m excited to be celebrating the grand opening of the Pretty Pink Posh, Shop! As a crafter it’s always fun to use embellishments and PPP has lots of sequins and things for you to choose from for all of your creative projects. You even have a chance to win Pretty Pink Posh prize packs—so don’t forget to check the details on how to win below.

I've recently started using sequins on my projects and I love it—so this celebration couldn't have come at a better time. Since we’re on the topic of celebrating I’d like to share my first project using some of the PPP sequins from the, Winter snow, pack which I used to create a festive place card shaker—Perfect for Christmas dinner. I love it because it’s a playful place card and I’m sure something like this would bring a smile to anyone’s face. You could have the shaker place card standing up in front of a place setting or even right on top of the actual place setting. Either way is super cute and I can’t even decide which one I like best.
Since I was on the theme of Christmas I thought I’d create a cute tag for a gable box, and I used PPP, Festive Holly-days, sequins, and some of their adorable Christmas bells. The sound this little bell makes warms my heart so much and it’s seriously getting me in the mood for Christmas (my favorite holiday).
Now is your chance to win your PPP packs! You can simply leave a comment on this post on or before December 3rd and two lucky winners will be chosen and announced on Thursday, December 5th! For more details on how to win, visit the Pretty Pink Posh blog be clicking, here.
Now on to the next crafty gal in the hop! Laurie Willison is going to share what she created using PPP embellishments, and to view the blog creating before me stop by Leigh Penner’s blog. If you would like to start from the beginning click here!

This hop was so fun, and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!
