Pretty Pink Posh Watercolor Blog Hop

Thursday, June 4, 2015

Today I'm joining with lots of other crafters in the Pretty Pink Posh Watercolor Blog hop. All we had to do was create a card using the watercolor technique and I choose to simply create an abstract background using three different distress ink colors. I own a wide variety of watercoloring tools but I always seem to go back to distress inks time and time again. I feel like the colors are so vibrant and they mix together so well.

I'm also using a few Pretty Pink Posh products to create this card, like the new 6mm iridescent sequins, Sunshine Glow. I'm also using the stitched cloud die from the set, Stitched borders 2--also by PPP.

Blog Hop Details: This hop is officially open to the public tomorrow (June 5th at 6:00am PST) and ends June 8th at 11:55pm PST. So you'll be able to create your watercolor creations and link them up on the PPP blog. You can click here to head over to the Pretty Pink Posh blog hop!

Additional info: If we can get 100 entries, Paulina will donate a $20 gift certificate to Ellen Hutson orSimon Says Stamp. 200 entries? She'll donate another! For every 100 entries (up to 500) there will be an extra $20 gift certificate!

I hope you really enjoyed this card and thank you so much for stopping by!

Welcome back for day 3 of the Lawn Fawn CHA sneak week! Hasn't there been so many amazing sneaks so far? Just wait until you see the rest that we've got in store for you. But before I get too far ahead of myself--let's talk about all of the awesome dies that have been shared today on their blog. They've revealed the new dies: Large and small stitched square stackables dies, Happy Birthday border die (love it), Picket Fence border die, Scalloped cupcake wrapper dies, Party Balloons die, Candy Box die, Stitched Labels dies, and Scripty hugs. Phew! Aren't you just overwhelmed with joy?! Can you image all of the crafting possibilities. Could you imagine that we DT girls had to keep all of these goodness under wraps until now?

Head on over to the LF blog for a closer look at today's sneak peek reveal--and also get a chance to win a few things (click here to be to directed to their blog). Don't forget these will be available for sale mid February and at that time we will have inspiration projects as well as Kelly's intro videos. I just can't wait!

It Moose be Love

Wednesday, August 27, 2014

This card is yet another example of just how versatile Lawn Fawn stamps are. I used a Christmas theme set, Critters in the Arctic, to create this lovey-dovey card for my boyfriend (I hope he doesn't see this before I give it to him, hehe). I also used the new, Lawn Fawndamentals notecards—in walnut, to create this mini card; and, it couldn't be more perfect. These new cards sold by Lawn Fawn make card making that much easier. For the white panel I used the 4” x 2.75” die from the new LF die set, small stitched rectangle stackables and I seriously love these! It’s like—no more measuring and fussing—just die cut and you have a perfect panel with a cute stitched detail.
I also used some of the Pretty Pink Posh sequins in, Sand, for this card and I felt that this color matched perfectly with the brown tones I was using for this card. If you noticed in the image below this stamp set has many holiday accents in it, for instance, it has the variety of snow flakes, and a snow bunny with a cute little scarf, but you can see and imagine how you could also use these critters in so many other ways, too. I just love that!
With the Lawn Ornaments I like how you can use the flair to embellish your project and it adds so much charm; and, to make things even more easier for us busy crafters LF has also came out with the coordinating die set for, Critters in the Arctic.
I hope you are super excited for this amazing release! Lawn Fawn has really blown us all away with all of the awesomeness that is due to be released for sale this month on the 28th!

DIY Tote Bag Using Lawn Fawn Dies, with Video

Wednesday, August 20, 2014

Today I have a really fun DIY video over on the Lawn Fawn blog and Youtube Channel! I purchased a plain white medium size canvas tote bag from Michaels for only $4.00 and used Lawn Fawns die set, Louie's ABCs on some contact paper to create a stencil and hand painted the name Sammy onto the bag. I made this for my niece Samantha--since it's back-to-school time!
For more details on how to create your very own personalized tote bag feel free to watch the video below!
I hope you enjoyed this simple tutorial and have a great day!
