Wednesday, April 6, 2016
Hello! Today I have a fun video sharing how I made this super simple card set using one of the adorable stamp sets from the newest Lawn Fawn release. I enjoy using this set so much and I've been thinking of other sentiments that could be used with these little veggies and I found a perfect saying in an older stamp set, Our Friendship Grows. For more details on the products I used and how I used them feel free to watch the DIY video below:

Mom + Me, Lawn Fawn Release Week
Tuesday, February 16, 2016
Today we are sharing the adorable stamp set, Mom + Me. How adorable is this stamp set with the little mommy owl and fox holding their children?! This stamp set is perfect for Mother's Day and of course could also be used year round, too. There are so many little elements in this stamp set; such as, the grass, florals, butterfly, and tree--just to name a few. I feel in love with this stamp set the moment I saw it and my favorite part of this set is the little stump. I just knew that this stump could be used with all of the other critters in the Lawn Fawn collection.
I definitely can't wait to use this set this mothers day--and all year round to create some cards! I hope you loved the card I created with this set for Inspiration Week but don't forget to also visit the Lawn Fawn blog to view more of the DT creations and watch Kelly's awesome intro video. You can also view the new ink colors as well!

NEW! Pizza My heart, Stitched Heart Stackables, and Heart Stackables--Lawn Fawn
Monday, December 7, 2015
There is a new release on the way and it's so amazingly cute--much like all the other releases! They never disappoint when it comes to creating sets that we can have fun with all year round. The stamp set being featured today is this awesome set, Pizza My Heart, I just love all the different pizza varieties you can create and I was chatting with Kelly Marie, yesterday, about how my favorite part of this set is the single slice of pizza because it looks so yummy and every time I see I want a slice of pizza, hehe! I also love how the single slice if pizza could be used with so many different critters in the Lawn Fawn arsenal. I was going through all of my stamp sets looking for just the right critter and I laughed out loud when I realized how random and cute the little crab from, Life is Good, worked with the pizza slice.
Not only does this set come with an adorable variety of images but, as per usual, this set also comes packed with punny sentiments--that I just love! On this card I used the sentiment, "you have a PIZZA my heart." So cute! If you take a close look at my card you'll also notice that I used the new stitched heart stackables to create this heart window in the card--and there was also a new product used on this card that will be revealed within the week and it coordinates perfectly with the, Scalloped Rectangle Stackables.
To take a closer look at these new products head over to the Lawn Fawn blog by, clicking here, and you can also take a look at all of the other DT staples for inspiration and also watch Kelly's intro video! Don't forget to leave a comment over there for a chance to win a prize! I hope you have a great day!

Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week--Ready, Set, Snow
Friday, September 18, 2015
Hello! Today I've created a fun shaker card for Lawn Fawn inspiration week--and we are sharing our creations using the new stamp set, Ready, Set, Snow--it's coordinating dies and a awesome Shaker Add-on, as well. I really enjoy using this stamp set to create cards because I think that the little snow globe image in this set is genius; and, you can also fit so many other images (from other sets) to create all different types of snow globes for year round cards. What a fun way to use this stamp set, right?!
To create this card I'm using the new Lawn Fawn paper--specifically the, Let's bokeh in the snow petite paper pack, the Ready Set Snow, stamp set, it's coordinating dies, the add-on dies, and a new scripty die, Let is Snow. So many fun products! These products are also already on sale and you can find them all by clicking here!

Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week, Thankful Mice, Small Stitched Leaves
Sunday, August 23, 2015
Welcome to another day of Lawn Fawn Inspiration! Today we are sharing our creations using the new mini stamp set, Thankful Mice, it's coordinating dies, and Small Stitched Leaves. This mini set is so adorable and I've said in the past that I just love Lawn Fawn's mini stamp sets because they put such cute images and sentiments all into one little package. This set would pair well with other sets, both in the new collection and with some old sets, to create some really cute scenes on cards. With this card, however, I thought I'd so something a bit simple--with the watercolor background panel and have the little mice standing on their little pieces of cheese. I also used some Lawn Fawn trimmings in the color, tangerine, and used the Small Stitched leaves dies to add a little accent to the card. For the leaves, the scalloped panel, and the card base I used Neenah environmental cardstock.

Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week, Booyah
Friday, August 21, 2015
Welcome to another Lawn Fawn Inspiration week! I'm always super excited for LF's new releases and I'm always so happy to share my creations with everyone. When I created this card I couldn't help but do a watercolor background. I used two distress ink colors: Black soot, and Dusty concord. If you take a close look at the cardstock in back of that watecolored panel you'll notice a new shade from the Lawn Fawn paper collection (that will be shown in greater detail during inspiration week). This new stamp set, Booyah, is so cute and has so many different elements to play around with to create the most adorable ghost trick or treaters!
To view more about this stamp set you can head over to the Lawn Fawn blog by, clicking here, and you can also watch the intro video for this stamp set so you can get a few ideas! While you're at their blog you can also look at all of the other DT samples. I hope you enjoyed my card and I hope you have a great weekend. Happy crafting!

So Many Thanks
Wednesday, July 1, 2015
Hello everyone! Today I'm super excited to share the card I created using the new stamp set, Charmed. This stamp set is packed with so many whimsical images and coordinating sentiments--this is one of those stamp sets that makes card making so easy because of how great each of the images work together and the sentiment variety means you can use this stamp set to create so many different types of cards and projects.
I always love using the watercolor technique when using Mama Elephant stamps--that technique always go so nicely with any of their images. I used light yellow cardstock for the card base an the scalloped panel, and used a variety of pastel Copic colors. This little sleeping fox is so adorable!
I always love thinking of different ways to use my stamps, and I thought that the wreath in this set would be perfect for creating Thanksgiving, and Christmas cards, too. All you'd have to do is color the wreath in according to the holiday you'd use it for and maybe even add a Santa hat to the fox or owl. How cute would that be?!
I hope you enjoyed this card and thank you so much for stopping by!

Stamp Highlight, Chance Of Rain--Mama Elephant
Monday, June 22, 2015
Hello! Today we're super excited to be sharing samples for this AMAZING new stamp set, Chance of Rain. Mama Elephant did such a great job with this release and the images and sentiments in this set are just perfect for creating all sorts of cards and projects. Of course I went with the watercolor technique for this card because I wanted to set a rainy little scene and for the little girl, and her teddy I gave them both a traditional yellow rain coat and I think that the yellow goes so well with the gray and blue tones on this card.
The great thing about this set is that ME also sells the coordinating dies so it makes card making that much more easier for us all--and not that we need easier but the faster we can finish a card the quicker we can get to making another one, and another one--am I right?

Stamp Highlight, Sunday Sentiments--Mama Elephant
Thursday, June 18, 2015
How fun is this new set, Sunday Sentiments?! It's coordinates with, Sunday Stroll, and I'm sure all of your crafters can find other stamp sets to pair it with as well. There are so many wonderful phrases that would be perfect for so many different occasions. I just love this set and I think it's definitely a must have for your stamp collection. I could image using this set on other things as well; such as, tags, and cupcake toppers. Mama Elephant comes out with such great sentiment stamp sets--just love them!
To create this CAS (clean and simple) card I used some Tim Holtz watercolor cardstock, and some Perfect Match cardstock, in Lavender Moon, by Papertrey Ink. I've really been getting into using colored cardstock for cards. I don't know why I've never done it before in the past--but now I'm sure my wallet is going to take a beating since I'm going to be stocking up on many more colors, hehe. I also used the Femme Frames die for the scalloped edges panel, and propped everything up on some 3D foam adhesive. If you notice I used the mirror image technique to get an exact mirror image of the sweet little girl image. I wanted this card to look like they were two besties or sisters. I did some really simple coloring on each girl, and used the "Thank you" and "You make everything so much better" sentiment. I did some simple watercoloring using my distress ink minis in the colors: Spun sugar, Tattered rose, and Picked raspberry. So cute right?!
Well, I hope you enjoyed this card and I hope you fall in love with this stamp set the way I did. There are so many things to create with it, and I just love how happy and positive all of the phrases are. To view more DT samples, head over to the Mama Elephant blog by, clicking here. Stamp Highlight--Sunday Stroll, Mama Elephant
Wednesday, June 17, 2015
The June release by Mama Elephant is so adorable! I love every single set that they came out with. Today we are featuring, Sunday Stroll--it's a super cute set with so many little images and elements to create some really fun cards, tags, and all kinds of projects. For this card I wanted to create something really clean and simple (CAS), so I went with creating a really light colored watercolor background, and stamped out the large boy and girl image from this set--as well as two of the trees. I arranged the kids to look like they are holding hands (so cute), and used the banner and sentiment from the set, Charmed. What's great, too, is that these stamp sets also have coordinating dies to make card making that much more simpler for you.
I hope that you enjoyed this card, and if you would like to take a look at all the other DT samples feel free to head over to the ME blog by clicking here to view them. I hope you have a great day!

Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week--So Jelly + Ocean Wave Borders
Sunday, May 31, 2015
Hey! Welcome back to my blog for another fun day of inspiration. Today we are sharing the new mini stamp set, So Jelly. Like all of the other Lawn Fawn mini stamp sets you get such cute images with even cuter sentiments to match; and, for such a great price ($4.00). When I first started my Lawn Fawn collection I was all about the minis, haha, because they were so cute and I wouldn't feel guilty for adding a ton of them to my shopping cart.
For todays card (shown above) I wanted to create a really pretty under water scene for the jelly fish and star fish, so of course I went straight to my distress inks to create this watercolor background. I used a variety of blue hues in both the regular distress ink, and mini distress ink sizes. Once I was done when that I thought it would a little bit too powerful of a background and I wanted to take it down a notch so that the adorable fish images wouldn't get lost in the background--so I took out a piece of vellum and used that to sort of diffuse the watercoloring that I did on the Tim Holtz watercolor cardstock. I also heat embossed both sentiments in white embossing powered and I think it made the card look great. I also wanted to have the waves incorporated into this design, somehow, so I used the new, Ocean Wave Borders, to get that effect. To color in the images I used my Copic markers--I just love the pastely vibe.
I hope you love this mini set just as much as I do, and if you'd like to see more DT samples feel free to click, here, to head over to the Lawn Fawn Blog for a closer look at the set along with an intro video by, Kelly Marie. There is lots of inspiration over there AND don't forget that you can also win a prize by leaving a comment on their blog, too!

Small Talk--Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight
Wednesday, May 20, 2015
Today I have a CAS card created for todays Mama Elephant, Small Talk, stamp highlight. This new stamp set is filled with so many text bubbles and a variety of small little critters to go with them. In this card I also used the puppy image and sentiment from the stamp set, Playful Pups. I used my trusty Copic Markers to color all of the images in and even used a warm gray Copic to create a ground for the critters and puppy image to stand on. To keep everything soft and clean I used a piece of pattern paper and added a bit of twine for some added interest.
I hope you like this card and don't forget you can head over to the ME blog and view all of the other DT samples, for inspiration!

Bridal Shower DIY
Tuesday, April 28, 2015
This weekend I had the pleasure of helping out with a bridal shower for my boyfriends cousin, Nancy. She is such a nice person so I jumped at the chance to help out with organizing the party decor, invitations, favors, etc. Let's be honest--I always jump at the chance to design for a party because I love it so much! If you've been a blog follower of mine since the very first post you may already know that my entire paper crafting journey started with a party. In case you don't know how I got started in the paper crafting world I'll give you a quick recap.
When I found out my brother was going to be a dad I was so excited because this meant I would be an aunt and it would be our families first grandchild. So, I immediately thought of ideas for the baby shower. Since it was my first baby shower I did lots of online research and I googled party themes and ideas (I don't know if pinterest existed yet). Then I took the next step which was head over to the craft store and start buying things for the party and for the first time I stopped in the rubber stamp section and looked for any stamps that had bumble bees on them because I choose the theme 'Mommy to bee' for the theme. I made tags, for this party, the floral arrangements, the candy table--you name it, I did it. Fast forward to when the party is over, and I found myself sad because I didn't have a reason to use all the paper crafting tools that I'd purchased from the store so I thought to myself, "what if I just make party decor and sell it so that I could craft all the time" because all I wanted to do with my time was make pretty little things and share them with the world. So that's when I started my Etsy shop, and the rest was history from there. One day I wanted to add Hanukkah cards to my shop so I googled Hanukkah stamps and I found Lawn Fawn via google; and, once I found LF I was hooked for life from there, hehe. So, I owe my whole paper craft career to my love for throwing a great party and I don't think I'll ever stop helping out with parties. I also don't charge for parties that I help with. I love them so much that I do them for free--mostly for friends and family. It's usually always only people I know personally.
Now back to, Nancy's, bridal shower. She loves anything shabby chic and vintagey so I wanted to incorporate that into this party. She also loves succulents, and burlap so I tried to include all of those things into the decor for this party. What I love about planning a small party is that you don't need to spend tons of money at the store to pull off a very elegant and pretty event. I like to put lots of little details on things that can be made at home and then I shop for strong statement pieces much like the vintage candle boxes shown in the images above. Making a tassel garland is pretty tedious but it can add so much to a space and brighten it up so well. The bride to be actually wanted the tissue paper pom-poms I convinced her that tassel garlands are so much pretty and totally on trend right now, hehe. She loved them!
Aside from the light boxes, I also purchased some medium and small size pots for the succulents that would go on the tables. Some of them were painted in mint or peach, and the larger pots already came in this muted green color (which was so pretty). I purchased the Martha Stewart spray system and I have to say I was so disappointed with it. I bought it after watching a DIY tutorial on how to use it but it didn't work as great in person. I ended up just painted the pots by hand.
I hired my little sister, Melanie for the cake pops, min cupcakes, and cheesecake shooters and they not only looked amazing but they tasted great as well! She is so talented at what she does. I made the cake because I really love making cakes, lol. I also used this opportunity to try out one of my new products. The 'Love' cake topper--which will be available in my shop very soon.
This party was so much fun and I can't wait for another chance to help with a party again soon. Thank you so much of stopping by and please let me know if you have any questions about anything in the comments below!

Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week--Wheelie Like You
Monday, April 13, 2015
Today I created something a little different compared to all of my pastely and bright cards. I actually found the inspiration for this particular card on Pinterest one day when I was browsing. I thought this would look really sweet on a card using the little critter image from the mini stamp set, Wheelie like you. I love that this card is dark but it's still cute and romantic with the shadow of the moon. If you take a close look at this card you'll notice it's a one layer card. I did a lot of masking and used a variety of distress inks to achieve this look, as well. I think the hardest part of creating this card was having to hand draw the shadows of the guinea pig using a dark gray Copic marker. I also wish that my camera would have picked up on how awesome the moon really looked in person. I did some soft watercoloring to make the moon look life like and neon.
I also had fun using some of the darker pattern papers form the awesome 6x6 Beach Side petite paper pack. That pack of papers has so many great patterns and I love all of the darker hues in that collection.
Lawn Fawn always does such an amazing job of packaging such cute images and sentiments into their mini stamp sets, and this one is no exception. There is so much you can do with this set and if you need a little more inspiration using this set you can ahead over to the Lawn Fawn blog by, clicking here. On their blog you can view all of the DT samples and even leave a comment for a chance to win this set, too!
