Lawn Fawn & ScraPerfect Week

Wednesday, March 8, 2017

Thank you for stopping by my blog for another day of Lawn Fawn & ScraPerfect week! For this project I'm using the new and amazing Scalloped box card Pop die, Bannertastic, Happy Happy Happy, Puffy cloud boarder dies, Gnome sweet gnome, Starry Backdrops, Hats off to you, Hello Sunhine, Sentiment banner dies, Watercolor Wishes Paper, and a variety of Lawn fawn inks. This box is so much fun to play with, at first I wasn't too thrilled about it (I don't know why, creature of habit I suppose) but when I started getting ideas and seeing samples of it being made I started to think this might be my favorite stand alone die, and now it is. It's fun and interactive which is what I think gets lots of people excited. The possibilities for this die are endless. When I created the party scene for Lawn Fawn's 2016 CHA, I thought that this die could also be used as a invitation. You could have the images popping out and on the backside (where the box is at it's tallest) you could have all the party details printed.

Big thank you to ScraPerfect for giving us DT girls such great products! I used their, Best Glue Ever to adhere all of the elements of this box card, and their Best Cleaner ever to clean off my stamps in the end.

I hope you've enjoyed this project and post and if you have any questions feel free to ask in the comments!

Lawn Fawn, Chibitronics Week

Tuesday, November 8, 2016

Thank you so much for stopping by! This week the design team is teaming up with Chibitronics to create some awesome cards. These kits are available on the Lawn Fawn blog, here. I had such  good time creating with this kit, it comes with instructions on how to create your very own card using the Chibitronics kit, and it was very easy to follow--in my opinion. I have never used anything like this before and it the instructions where very easy to follow.

If you know me personally you know that I love to be outdoors and I love mountains and hiking. So for this card I used the (relativly) new die set, Stitched Mountain Borders, and to Lawn Fawn card stock: Storm Cloud, Manatee, and Noble Fir to create the mountains the meadow. For the bear images I used the stamp set, Dad + Me, and rather than using the coordinating dies I simply fussy cut the images out. For the trees in the background I used the stamp set, Toboggan together, with the LF ink, Storm cloud. For the fire image I used the stamp set, Love you 'Smore.

To create the constellations background I used a variety of Tim Holtz distress inks, and a white gelly pen; and, when you press on the firefly the Chibitronic lights can be turned on and off.

I hope you enjoyed this card and post, if you would like to view more cards by the DT feel free to head on over to the Lawn Fawn blog by clicking, here. If you have any questions about the products used feel free to leave me a comment and I will reply as soon as possible.

Thank you & Happy Crafting!

To create this card I used a white A2 size card base, a piece of Tim Holtz watercolor cardstock, Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink, Finley's ABCs dies, the new Let's Polka into the meadow petite collation pack, Mermaid LF ink, and Peacock LF ink.

NEW! Pizza My heart, Stitched Heart Stackables, and Heart Stackables--Lawn Fawn

Monday, December 7, 2015

There is a new release on the way and it's so amazingly cute--much like all the other releases! They never disappoint when  it comes to creating sets that we can have fun with all year round. The stamp set being featured today is this awesome set, Pizza My Heart, I just love all the different pizza varieties you can create and I was chatting with Kelly Marie, yesterday, about how my favorite part of this set is the single slice of pizza because it looks so yummy and every time I see I want a slice of pizza, hehe! I also love how the single slice if pizza could be used with so many different critters in the Lawn Fawn arsenal. I was going through all of my stamp sets looking for just the right critter and I laughed out loud when I realized how random and cute the little crab from, Life is Good, worked with the pizza slice.

Not only does this set come with an adorable variety of images but, as per usual, this set also comes packed with punny sentiments--that I just love! On this card I used the sentiment, "you have a PIZZA my heart." So cute! If you take a close look at my card you'll also notice that I used the new stitched heart stackables to create this heart window in the card--and there was also a new product used on this card that will be revealed within the week and it coordinates perfectly with the, Scalloped Rectangle Stackables.

To take a closer look at these new products head over to the Lawn Fawn blog by, clicking here, and you can also take a look at all of the other DT staples for inspiration and also watch Kelly's intro video! Don't forget to leave a comment over there for a chance to win a prize! I hope you have a great day!

Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week--Ready, Set, Snow

Friday, September 18, 2015

Hello! Today I've created a fun shaker card for Lawn Fawn inspiration week--and we are sharing our creations using the new stamp set, Ready, Set, Snow--it's coordinating dies and a awesome Shaker Add-on, as well. I really enjoy using this stamp set to create cards because I think that the little snow globe image in this set is genius; and, you can also fit so many other images (from other sets) to create all different types of snow globes for year round cards. What a fun way to use this stamp set, right?!

To create this card I'm using the new Lawn Fawn paper--specifically the, Let's bokeh in the snow petite paper pack, the Ready Set Snow, stamp set, it's coordinating dies, the add-on dies, and a new scripty die, Let is Snow. So many fun products! These products are also already on sale and you can find them all by clicking here!

Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week, Thankful Mice, Small Stitched Leaves

Sunday, August 23, 2015

Welcome to another day of Lawn Fawn Inspiration! Today we are sharing our creations using the new mini stamp set, Thankful Mice, it's coordinating dies, and Small Stitched Leaves. This mini set is so adorable and I've said in the past that I just love Lawn Fawn's mini stamp sets because they put such cute images and sentiments all into one little package. This set would pair well with other sets, both in the new collection and with some old sets, to create some really cute scenes on cards. With this card, however, I thought I'd so something a bit simple--with the watercolor background panel and have the little mice standing on their little pieces of cheese. I also used some Lawn Fawn trimmings in the color, tangerine, and used the Small Stitched leaves dies to add a little accent to the card. For the leaves, the scalloped panel, and the card base I used Neenah environmental cardstock.

For a closure look at this set, an intro video, and more DT samples feel free to head over to the Lawn Fawn blog by clicking here. You can also entire a comment on their blog for a chance to win these new products!

Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week, Booyah

Friday, August 21, 2015

Welcome to another Lawn Fawn Inspiration week! I'm always super excited for LF's new releases and I'm always so happy to share my creations with everyone. When I created this card I couldn't help but do a watercolor background. I used two distress ink colors: Black soot, and Dusty concord. If you take a close look at the cardstock in back of that watecolored panel you'll notice a new shade from the Lawn Fawn paper collection (that will be shown in greater detail during inspiration week). This new stamp set, Booyah, is so cute and has so many different elements to play around with to create the most adorable ghost trick or treaters!

To view more about this stamp set you can head over to the Lawn Fawn blog by, clicking here, and you can also watch the intro video for this stamp set so you can get a few ideas! While you're at their blog you can also look at all of the other DT samples. I hope you enjoyed my card and I hope you have a great weekend. Happy crafting!

Pretty Pink Posh Product Release Blog Hop

Thursday, August 6, 2015

Hello! Welcome to my blog--if you are stopping by from the blog of, Jeanane Jachna. Today is an exciting day because Pretty Pink Posh has come out with another great collection of steal dies. Paulina, has released: Stitched Speech Bubbles Dies, Storybook 1 Dies, and Twine and Bows Dies.
The stitched Speech bubble dies would be great for pairing with Lawn Fawn critters; or ever creating some speech bubble cupcake toppers for a party. You could also use these stitched speech bubbles dies as little windows in your cards and have a sentiment in one window with a little critter peaking out of the other. There are tons of possibilities for this this set.

I just love the Storybook 1 dies, set. I love how the stitching on the largest rectangle would work perfectly for crating a shaker card but it would leave an amazing stitched edge details on your cardstock and still have a window for your shaker. Much like the shaker shown below (the mermaid card), so you can image how awesome that card would look with stitched detailing around the boarder.

The twine and Bows dies has got to be one of my favs from this collection. I think it's so unique and I can definitely image all the things you could create with this set, especially for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. I really like that there are three different size bows, and I would just love how these would look on any project!
Now for the fun part! Paulina is going to give away two $25 gift certificates to those who leave comments on any of the blogs along this hop. The winners will be picked randomly and comments must be left by 11:59pm PDT on 8/9/2015; and, the winners will be announced on the Pretty Pink Posh blog.

Next on the hop is, Lisa Elton--Thank you so much for stopping by and if you get lost on the hop I have included the full list of blog participants!

Video--How to Make A Fun Wedding Card

Thursday, July 9, 2015

Hooray! I have another video for you. In today's video I'm using the new stamp sets, Owens ABC's and Happy Wedding, to create this wedding card. I wanted to this card to be full of fun colors so I used a watercoloring technique, and also pulled out some of the new Lawn Fawn Ink colors, and some Copic markers for this project.

Owens ABC's is an amazing stamp set that can be used in so many different ways--it's one of those 'sky's the limit' kind of stamp sets. Which is perfect for us crafters when we want sets that can be used in multiple ways and for many occasions. As mentioned in the video above I spoke about how it would be so fun to create a card with the critters holding letters from, Owens' ABC's, to create a custom sentiment--even in different colors using the new Lawn Fawn inks. Kelly mentioned in the intro video for this set that you could also use these letters to create projects with monograms--how fun would that be?!

I hope you've enjoyed this card and video don't forget to come back to the Lawn Fawn Youtube channel again on the 30th of this month--I'll be creating another video! Thank you so much for stopping by and feel free to ask any questions in the comments! <3

Stamp Highlight, Chance Of Rain--Mama Elephant

Monday, June 22, 2015

Hello! Today we're super excited to be sharing samples for this AMAZING new stamp set, Chance of Rain. Mama Elephant did such a great job with this release and the images and sentiments in this set are just perfect for creating all sorts of cards and projects. Of course I went with the watercolor technique for this card because I wanted to set a rainy little scene and for the little girl, and her teddy I gave them both a traditional yellow rain coat and I think that the yellow goes so well with the gray and blue tones on this card.

The great thing about this set is that ME also sells the coordinating dies so it makes card making that much more easier for us all--and not that we need easier but the faster we can finish a card the quicker we can get to making another one, and another one--am I right?

For a better look at this set and to view all of the other DT samples feel free to, click here, to view them all! I hope you enjoyed my card and thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you have a great day!

Stamp Highlight, Sunday Sentiments--Mama Elephant

Thursday, June 18, 2015

How fun is this new set, Sunday Sentiments?! It's coordinates with, Sunday Stroll, and I'm sure all of your crafters can find other stamp sets to pair it with as well. There are so many wonderful phrases that would be perfect for so many different occasions. I just love this set and I think it's definitely a must have for your stamp collection. I could image using this set on other things as well; such as, tags, and cupcake toppers. Mama Elephant comes out with such great sentiment stamp sets--just love them!

To create this CAS (clean and simple) card I used some Tim Holtz watercolor cardstock, and some Perfect Match cardstock, in Lavender Moon, by Papertrey Ink. I've really been getting into using colored cardstock for cards. I don't know why I've never done it before in the past--but now I'm sure my wallet is going to take a beating since I'm going to be stocking up on many more colors, hehe. I also used the Femme Frames die for the scalloped edges panel, and propped everything up on some 3D foam adhesive. If you notice I used the mirror image technique to get an exact mirror image of the sweet little girl image. I wanted this card to look like they were two besties or sisters. I did some really simple coloring on each girl, and used the "Thank you" and "You make everything so much better" sentiment. I did some simple watercoloring using my distress ink minis in the colors: Spun sugar, Tattered rose, and Picked raspberry. So cute right?!

Well, I hope you enjoyed this card and I hope you fall in love with this stamp set the way I did. There are so many things to create with it, and I just love how happy and positive all of the phrases are. To view more DT samples, head over to the Mama Elephant blog by, clicking here. I hope you have a great day!

Stamp Highlight--Sunday Stroll, Mama Elephant

Wednesday, June 17, 2015

The June release by Mama Elephant is so adorable! I love every single set that they came out with. Today we are featuring, Sunday Stroll--it's a super cute set with so many little images and elements to create some really fun cards, tags, and all kinds of projects. For this card I wanted to create something really clean and simple (CAS), so I went with creating a really light colored watercolor background, and stamped out the large boy and girl image from this set--as well as two of the trees. I arranged the kids to look like they are holding hands (so cute), and used the banner and sentiment from the set, Charmed. What's great, too, is that these stamp sets also have coordinating dies to make card making that much more simpler for you.

I hope that you enjoyed this card, and if you would like to take a look at all the other DT samples feel free to head over to the ME blog by clicking here to view them. I hope you have a great day!

Pretty Pink Posh Watercolor Blog Hop

Thursday, June 4, 2015

Today I'm joining with lots of other crafters in the Pretty Pink Posh Watercolor Blog hop. All we had to do was create a card using the watercolor technique and I choose to simply create an abstract background using three different distress ink colors. I own a wide variety of watercoloring tools but I always seem to go back to distress inks time and time again. I feel like the colors are so vibrant and they mix together so well.

I'm also using a few Pretty Pink Posh products to create this card, like the new 6mm iridescent sequins, Sunshine Glow. I'm also using the stitched cloud die from the set, Stitched borders 2--also by PPP.

Blog Hop Details: This hop is officially open to the public tomorrow (June 5th at 6:00am PST) and ends June 8th at 11:55pm PST. So you'll be able to create your watercolor creations and link them up on the PPP blog. You can click here to head over to the Pretty Pink Posh blog hop!

Additional info: If we can get 100 entries, Paulina will donate a $20 gift certificate to Ellen Hutson orSimon Says Stamp. 200 entries? She'll donate another! For every 100 entries (up to 500) there will be an extra $20 gift certificate!

I hope you really enjoyed this card and thank you so much for stopping by!

Playful Pups

Wednesday, June 3, 2015

Hi there! It's Nicole Gavaldon here, and today I'm excited with talk about how I created this CAS card using the new and adorable stamp set, Playful Pups. The puppy images in this set are so cute, and the fact that this set comes with a variety of different sentiments means you can create so many products for lots of different occasions. I used the, "Missing you is real ruff" sentiment for my project which would work as a 'Just Because' card, too.

If you take a closer look at the card I created you'll notice that I used the Mirror Image stamping technique to get the mirror image of this cute pup that's holding a tiny envelope in his/her mouth. I have so much fun using that technique for card making! I also took a piece of Tim Holtz watercolor cardstock and did some really clean and simple watercoloring using distress ink, and once it was dry I used the ME Femme Frames die, with the scalloped edge, to cut out the panel for the front of the card, and simply adhered that onto a piece of 100lb. white cardstock--with some 3D adhesive foam tape. The two pups are also backed with 3D adhesive foam and I used some white and silver twine to ground the two puppies so that they don't look like they are floating, hehe.

The possibilities are endless for this stamp set--you could create birthday cards, birthday cupcake toppers, treat bag tags, and even projects for Valentine's Day with the, "I've got a spot in my heart for you", sentiment! I hope you enjoyed my very first designer series blog post for ME and thank you so much for stopping by.

Lawn Fawn Inpsiration Week--Fintastic Friends + New Ink

Wednesday, June 3, 2015

This is the final day of Lawn Fawn Inspiration week--I know how sad! BUT don't worry there is still lots more in this Summer release so stay tuned for the next inspiration week. Today we are sharing the new stamp set, Fintastic Friends--cute images, and punny sentiments (as per usual, right?!) Lawn Fawn never fails to wow us with their adorable stamp set ideas and I'm thinking that this set, like lots of their others, can be used for many different occasions. I can also see how this set would be great for masculine cards; such as, a young boys birthday!

I just love how this set comes with both a fish tank and a fish bowl. There is so much variety and I love it. You'll also notice that I used lots of color on the background card base. I'm using the new Lawn Fawn inks! There are five new colors in this series and they are stunningly beautiful. I've fallen so in love with these new colors! You'll definitely be seeing more use of color with these inks in the near future--especially in the upcoming inspiration weeks!

I hope you enjoyed this week of sneaks--and you can go ahead and head over to the Lawn Fawn blog, leave a comment to win this set and the inks, watch two intro videos by, Kelly Marie, and get inspired by all of the other DT samples that we created for you!

Thank you so much for stopping by! <3

Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week--So Jelly + Ocean Wave Borders

Sunday, May 31, 2015

Hey! Welcome back to my blog for another fun day of inspiration. Today we are sharing the new mini stamp set, So Jelly. Like all of the other Lawn Fawn mini stamp sets you get such cute images with even cuter sentiments to match; and, for such a great price ($4.00). When I first started my Lawn Fawn collection I was all about the minis, haha, because they were so cute and I wouldn't feel guilty for adding a ton of them to my shopping cart.

For todays card (shown above) I wanted to create a really pretty under water scene for the jelly fish and star fish, so of course I went straight to my distress inks to create this watercolor background. I used a variety of blue hues in both the regular distress ink, and mini distress ink sizes. Once I was done when that I thought it would a little bit too powerful of a background and I wanted to take it down a notch so that the adorable fish images wouldn't get lost in the background--so I took out a piece of vellum and used that to sort of diffuse the watercoloring that I did on the Tim Holtz watercolor cardstock. I also heat embossed both sentiments in white embossing powered and I think it made the card look great. I also wanted to have the waves incorporated into this design, somehow, so I used the new, Ocean Wave Borders, to get that effect. To color in the images I used my Copic markers--I just love the pastely vibe.

I hope you love this mini set just as much as I do, and if you'd like to see more DT samples feel free to click, here, to head over to the Lawn Fawn Blog for a closer look at the set along with an intro video by, Kelly Marie. There is lots of inspiration over there AND don't forget that you can also win a prize by leaving a comment on their blog, too!

Thanks for stopping by!

Bella Letters by Mama Elephant

Thursday, May 21, 2015

I created another fun card using the stamp set, Bella Letters. This set is perfect for creating your own custom sentiments; or, for creating fun cards with lengthy quotes on them--like the card I created here using the same stamp set. I also wanted to do some fun watercoloring for this card and add some sequins as well. After doing that I felt that the card was missing something so I added the cute critter from the new stamp set, Woodland Gifts. I feel like my style was still shinning though on this card even thought I was trying something a little bit different.

If you'd like to view all of the other DT cards you can head over to the Mama Elephant blog, and don't forget that all of these new stamp sets are already available for purchase!

Thank you for stopping by!
