Tuesday, January 6, 2015

Welcome back for day 2 of the Lawn Fawn CHA sneak week! They've already revealed so many adorable stamps and dies yesterday (click here to view day 1) and today they are sharing a new paper line, Beachside. These will be available for purchase mid February along with all the other dies, stamps, ink, etc., that is being revealed this entire week.

When I first saw this line I thought how adorable it would be for more masculine cards with the darker hues. But it also has lighter tones in the collection which would also work for creating starry sky scenes and girly cards, too. I'm just so in love with this collection and I know you'll love it too!

If you head over to the Lawn Fawn blog for today's sneak peek you'll also be pleasantly surprised to see that they are also going to be releasing ink, new wood veneers, and Tangerine Lawn trimmings!! I know--I'm so excited I can't wait to get my hands on these. They're new line of inks are dye based so that means you'll always get a clean crisp image every time you stamp. Lawn Fawn CHA Sneak Week 2015--Day 1

Monday, January 5, 2015

Being on the Lawn Fawn design team is so much fun but it’s so hard to get all of the new product in the mail and have to wait a month or two to share it with you all! I’ve had a huge stack of new Lawn Fawn product in my craft room and I’ve just been itching to share it, hehe. The day has finally come were we get to reveal sneak peeks of all of the awesome products that the LF team has created—and once again they’ve knocked it out of the park! Today they’re revealing the new sets: Gleeful Gardens, Baked with Love, Wheelie Like You, Flirty Frames, Year Five, and Let’s play.

I have to be honest—it’s so hard to choose a favorite set from this collection. Each stamp set is so cute; for instance, Baked with Love. This set comes with so many images that are perfect for cardmaking, scrapbooking, creating food gift packaging, and tags. It comes with a table mixer, rolling pin, flour bag, a cute little mound of flour, two cupcakes, butter, a wooden spoon, bowl, cake stand, candle, smiley faces, piping bag—and so many other cute images and sentiments. This is a great set that works all year round. When I create my card with this set I also used Violet’s ABCs to create the sentiment, “you bake the world a batter place”, hehe, super punny and cute.

When I saw, Gleeful Gardens, my jaw dropped—this set is so freaken adorable with the little snails and mushrooms. You can have so much fun create cute scenes  on your cards; for example, I made a card that looks like the snail is delivering mail to the mushroom family, haha—so cute.
I’ve also added images of a few of the other sets that Lawn Fawn is revealing but to get a full view of today’s release click here to view Kelly’s blog post with DT samples, and much more!

What do you think of these new stamp sets?!

Snow Day Collection--Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week

Monday, September 22, 2014

Today on the Lawn Fawn blog, they're showcasing the, Snow Day Collection. This collection has some really beautiful patterned paper in the 12x12 and 6x6 size--this collection also has some adorable flair, wood veeners, twine, and a coordinating stamp set. However, the matching stamp set will have it's very own post tomorrow!

This is the first time I've ever created a card that was made entirely out of cardstock, only. If you take a closer look at this card you'll notice that I didn't use any stamped images on it. I used the papers from both the 12x12 and 6x6 sets, along with the forest border die, scripty joy, stitched rectangles, the stitched circle from the stitched banners die set, and a few wood veeners.

I think that this entire collection (including the coordinating stamp set) would be great for creating your entire collection of Christmas cards this year. You can create such bright, fun, cards!

If you head over to the LF blog you can entire for a chance to win the papers from this collection! Kelly, has also shared another awesome intro video and you can view the DT samples. You can find their blog by clicking, here. Good luck!

Make A Wish

Friday, February 28, 2014

I’m so excited to share this card with you today because it was so much fun to make; and, I’m hoping this will inspire some of you Lawn Fawn stamp owners to make this adorable leprechaun. I think there are so many possibilities with this idea; for instance, you can make tags, treat bags, and even layouts for St. Patrick’s Day. I combined several LF stamp sets for this card—some new and some old, and I’m so in love with how it turned out. I think my favorite part of this card are the gold stars that I created using some gold embossing powder and the new LF stamp set, Starry backdrops. That stamp set has a large starry image that is perfect for so many different scenes and it also has the elements to create an adorable rainbow.
For the coloring, I used distress inks: Broken china, and mowed lawn. I colored in the little leprechaun using my Copic Markers, and for the rainbow I used: Pale Tomato, butter bar, and soft pool, inks by Hero Arts
Stamp sets used to create this card: Gnome sweet gnome, Hello Sunshine, Starry Backdrops, Hats off to you. I also used the large stitched journaling die as the base of my card, you can view that awesome die set by clicking, here
I hope you enjoyed this colorful card! I wanted to post something a little bit more awesome today, but since I have so many orders to finished I had to make this a short and simple blog post. I’m mainly trying to focus on keeping up with all of my posts’ even if they’re simple like this one. Blogging keeps me sane, hehe. I hope you all have a great weekend!

Get Ready for New Lawn Fawn Products

Monday, February 4, 2013

I’m super excited to share the some of the new Lawn Fawn petite paper pads with you all today! I’m a huge fan of petite/mini paper pads and I couldn’t be happier to have some from Lawn Fawn. Kelly Marie, over at Lawn Fawn, mentioned that one of the new paper pads, Pink Lemonade,  was inspired by her favorite summer time drink—and they’re so cute. I love every single page in these pads, and I’ve also shared a few snap shots of my favorites below but to watch a video of, Kelly Marie, talking about her new paper pad collections, stamps, twine, and die cuts, click here.
You all know I’m a huge fan of Lawn Fawn, and I had to have this adorable new stamp set, Here’s the Scoop. This set is already available and to view it click here. This set is perfect for creating Valentine’s Day cards, tags, and labels but one of the many great things about Lawn Fawn stamps is that they’re so versatile and can be used for many other occasions—all you need is a little imagination. I’m going to be making some new cards with this set very soon and I can’t wait to show you!
Lawn Fawn, also came out with new Lawn trimmings, in a variety of colors; however, one of my favorites is this ombre twine—ah! It’s so amazing! I made a super cute tag using this twine and a few sheets from the, Pink Lemonade 6 x6 paper pad—I’ll share how I made it below. This twine and all the new paper pads, die cuts, and stamps will be available on their website very soon—so keep your eyes and hears open, hehe.
Here’s how I made the tag:
I’m so excited about all the products coming from Lawn Fawn. I’ll be the first in line as soon as everything goes on sale—just as I was during the last release of products, LOL. Crafternoon

Friday, January 11, 2013

Today was so much fun! My sisters have been asking me to teach them how to make greetings cards for some time now and we finally managed to sync our schedules’ so that we could have a ‘crafternoon’ card making class. I taught them the basics of card making, stamping, and paper piecing. I was laughing at how they’d listen to a little bit of information I’d give them, then be like, “Ok, got it” and start pulling out all the stamps, ink, and paper, and then get stuck and not know what to do because they weren’t listening to me in the first place. But, it’s totally understandable. How can you sit in front of all these awesome crafting tools and expect to be lectured, LOL. I thought that was really funny and I was teasing my sister about that for the rest of the time, haha. A little while later I managed to convey all the basic skills they’d need to complete a card, and they caught on well—very well actually.
I talked to them about the different types of stamps there are; such as, acrylic, silicone, rubber, and photopolymer. The different kinds of ink you can choose from, and how to keep stamps nice and clean. We also used my new Copic markers. I’m so in love with them.
Here are their cards! The Valentine’s Day themed card was created by my youngest sister, Melanie, and the card on the right was made by my older sister Angie (who I call, Angus). I have a nickname for everyone.
We were also visited by our beautiful niece—who also loves to craft. I bought her, her own stamps, paper, and ink…but that still doesn't keep her from dipping in my stash. So I figured I might as well teach her how to properly use them if she’s planning on using them on a regular basis, haha. She’s so cute. Lastly I've been thinking about creating a ‘Crafting 101’ feature here on my blog for those that would like to start scrapbooking or cardmaking. What do you think? Is that something you would like to see on my blog? I think if I get enough votes I just might do it :-p
