New Flutter By Coordinating Dies--With Video

Saturday, January 17, 2015

Today I'm sharing a video using an older stamp set, Flutter by, however the the dies that I'm using are from the newest collection of stamps and dies. Lawn Fawn is starting to release coordinating dies for older stamp sets little by little--at the request of so many of you! Isn't that great? I know I love it. I'm also sharing how I go about using Distress ink for watercoloring. This isn't a new technique but it's one that I love.

This card is clean and simple; however, this stamp set and new coordinating dies are a great way to dress up anything from a card, layouts, and even party decor. I could totally image these flowers as cupcake toppers for a tea party; or, perhaps on a Mother's Day layout, too.

I hope you enjoyed this video and for more details on the products I used feel free to head on over to the Lawn Fawn blog by clicking here

Lawn Fawn Stamp Set, Year Two, Three Ways!

Wednesday, May 15, 2013

Lawn Fawn recently released 7 new stamps sets and 8 new Lawn Cuts, too! I placed my order the day they were available and received them this past Monday. I was so excited. You all know how much I Love Lawn Fawn stamps, and I have been looking at them on my craft table and have been WAITING for a moment to use them, hehe. Orders have been keeping me very busy lately, and I probably shouldn't have kept them sitting right in front of where I work—because that’s torture, LOL. Any-who,  I thought it would be fun to share each stamp set and Lawn cut individually so you can see how cute they are, and what you can do with them! Here we go—Stamp set, Year Two, three different ways!
I’ve created this super cute mini single layer belated birthday card, cupcake topper, and gift bag. Cute right? You can use this mini stamp set for so many things, and I love that it’s only $4.00. I had too much fun making these. Let me know what you think in the comments.

DIY—Save the Date Announcements

Tuesday, April 9, 2013

I didn’t get a chance to blog about this DIY yesterday because I had an order that was consuming all of my time. Well—most days I have orders consuming all of time but in yesterday’s case, I was swamped; and I had to get that order out before the post office closed, haha. Anywho, I thought I’d post this today instead of waiting until Wednesday to post these super cute Save the Date announcements. Ever since I purchased this Lawn Fawn stamp set, Summertime Charm, I’ve wanted to do tons of things with the mason jar stamp. Plus I love that this stamp set also comes with the coordinating dies—it makes cutting so much easier! Lately I’ve noticed that lots of ‘Save the Date’ announcements are getting simple, whimsical, and unique. Save the Date cards don’t have to be so serious anymore, these days, and I love that.
For these cards, I’m using Recollections Kraft cardstock, Recollections white cardstock, Lawn Fawn’s Pink Lemonade Petite paper pack, Black Memento ink, Summertime Charm stamp set, and the coordinating dies—also by Lawn Fawn. I cut the Kraft card base at: 6 1/2” x 4”, next I cut both the insert and yellow and white polka dot pattern paper at: 3” x 3 3/4”, and lately, the pattern paper base (that lays over the Kraft cardstock) at: 3 1/4” x 4”.
When creating the insert I used the stamp sets: Quinn’sABCs, Smitty’s ABCs, and You’ve got mail. I used Quinn’s to write the names, Smitty’s for the text and date, and You've got mail for the adorable multicolored boarder. I used some of my Copic markers to color in the large letters; and, I also used the Hero Arts cube shadow inks: butter bar, and orange soda—to add pops of color.
I think the final result came out so cute, and now I’m even wondering if I should offer these in my shop, hehe. They’re too cute NOT to share. Well I hope you've enjoyed this DIY post and I hope I’ve also inspired you to give something like this a try. I love doing things like this in between orders because it’s a nice break from all the repetition.
