Crafty Weekend Fun

If you follow me on Instagram (@unifyhandmade) you may have already seen two of the cards I’m showing here on my blog today. I made these cards for fun, and I like having lots of them on hand and ready to go for myself and for my family and friends as well. The last stash I had collected was running very low, and lately I’ve been trying to make at least one card a day—for fun, to keep my stash alive, hehe. I think making one card a day is an easy goal—and it’ll certainly be a fun one. It seems as though I’ve haven’t been making as many cards as I used to these past couple of months. But now I’d like to ensure I put time aside to create at least one card a day. I think I’ve said this in the past a few times, but this time around I’m really going to make time for all of my stamps, dies, and other craft tools. I can’t let them just sit there collecting dust. They’re all too cute and fun not to use!

I do get my crafty fix when I’m working all day on the papercrafts I sell in my shop—and that’s such a blessing it itself. Maybe that’s why I didn’t even realize that I wasn’t making enough cards for fun because I have fun everyday just working on orders, too. Once in a while when I’m working I’ll glance over at my stamp stash and realize they’re being neglected but I always tell myself, “Oh the weekend, I’ll make as many cards for fun as I can” or, “I’ll make one card tonight before bed”. Usually I’ll post a light night card on my Instagram, hehe.

This weekend I also went to Lawn Fawn’s 4^th birthday party at, Stamp Fever, in Orange, CA. It’s a cute little craft shop filled with all the things to fulfil your crafting needs—plus the staff there is super nice! If they don’t have something you need, they’ll simply order it for you. Kelly Marie, and Mike, (two out of the three LF owners) were there greeting everyone, and doing fun make-n-takes. It was really fun to be in a fun crafty environment with friends. I even took my boyfriend, Gabriel, and I made him do a make-n-take with, Nancy, hehe.

While I was at Stamp Fever I picked up a few new stamp sets, and dies. I’ll probably be sharing those on my blog soon. I love supporting small business so I tried to spend as much as I could without going overboard at Stamp Fever—actually I think I did go a little overboard but it’s ok! Haha.

Video of the Lawn Fawn Party

As promised I wanted to share a picture of the the die cuts and ink that I purchased from, Stamp Fever, when they held Lawn Fawn's 3rd Birthday party. It was so hard for me not to buy everything but I had to control myself, LOL! So, I bought the good fortune die set that coordinates with the 'Good Fortune' stamp set, by Lawn Fawn; and, I'm so glad I did. After buying the 'Good Fortune' stamp set, when they were released, I realized that the fortune cookies in this set would make really cute cupcake toppers. But, after testing them out I realized that cutting more than 24 of these by hand would be time consuming. Therefore, I decided to purchase the matching die set. Next I purchase some shadow inks that I've wanted to try for some time now, and I love that these come in a little sample pack. The last thing I got was a free prize! It was this super cute 'Year Three' stamp set--isn't it adorable? I love it, and I can't wait to make something with it. Ok, now I'd like to share the video I made. I know that pictures are great--but sometimes video can be even more fun and make it feel like you were actually there. So I put together this little clip--to be honest I thought I captured more video than this but I guess I didn't, hehe. Don't forget to click, HD, it looks so much better in HD, hehe.

Lawn Fawn's 3rd Birthday Party Hosted by, Stamp Fever

This weekend was Lawn Fawn’s 3^rd birthday party, hosted by Stamp Fever. Where everyone got to do a make-n-take with Kelly Marie, the owner of Lawn Fawn, shop a little, have some delicious cupcakes, mingle, and even make some new friends. It was a lot of fun meeting Kelly, Nancy (who works at Stamp Fever), and all the other bloggers and crafty gals. Hanging out with a group of ladies that enjoys crafting as much as I do was definitely a nice change for me; and, there’s nothing better than talking to others about blogging, stamps, card-making, and techniques—I know I can talk about it for hours, hehe. Stamp Fever is such a cute store, and I recommend visiting this shop if you ever in the area. They have loads of stamps, cardstock, ink, dies, ribbon, and so much more! You can even take classes there; and, if they don’t have what you’re looking for—they’ll order it for you. Isn't that the best? Everyone I met at the party was really nice, and I’m looking forward to Lawn Fawn’s 4th birthday party. I bought a few things from the shop, and won a really awesome Lawn Fawn stamp set but I totally forgot to take pictures of them, oops—but! I do have a video of the party on the way, so perhaps I’ll snap a few photos of what I bought and share those when I upload and share the video. I hope you've enjoyed the pictures!

Stamp Fever/Lawn Fawn Blog Hop

You may already know—from my posts’ about Lawn Fawn, that they’re my favorite stamp company. Well, today, Lawn Fawn is turning 3 years old! So a group of us crafty gals are gathering together to create a birthday card for this special event but not only that—we wanted to share the news about a store in, Orange, California, named Stamp Fever, having a party at their store this Saturday, the 16th, in honor of Lawn Fawns’ third birthday.
