I hope you loved this idea! I think that lots of Lawn Fawn stamps would be perfect for creating cute scenes on top of cakes! Give it a try!
Card of the Week—Baby Shower Invitation
Wednesday, September 12, 2012
Today I wanted to share my newest design—my baby shower
invitation. I’ve been getting lots of emails from women, via Etsy, asking for the large single sheet invitations. I’ve always felt that the digital invitations
were a little bit impersonal but after making this I’ve completely changed my
mind about them. I still put my all into making these and the final product
makes me all excited inside.
I designed every single part of this invitation from the
banner, the chevron background, the blue panels, and the arrangement of the
party details. Then I added my personal touch with the baby blue satin ribbon.
Once they were printed out I felt it still needed something else and I tried
adding stamps, a monogram, and the ribbon—and the ribbon was perfect! Next I used
a thick pearl cardstock to add a border and I also used it to hide the back of the
ribbon in order to give it a flawless finish. I couldn’t be happier with these
invitations I've created on my PC. I think this is definitely the start of something
new for me and I couldn't be more excited.
I've also created these in different colors; however, I’m
going to test the first one on my website to see how it sells and if it does
well I’m going to upload the other colors as too. Here are the digital images
of the other colors I’ll have available soon (minus the water marks).
I’m so excited to venture into the world of digital art (I never thought I’d say that) and I’m
planning on taking some classes to perfect my knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
and Illustrator—I can’t wait!
