I’m pretty excited to share some of the stamps, and markers
that I purchased recently. I already have a lot of stamps on hand, but I was
starting to feel like I needed new ones—to create some new merchandise for my
shop. Sometimes I sit at my craft table and just stare at the same ol’ stamps
and think, “I’ve already used that one for toppers, and I’ve already used that
one for invitations”. So, I felt perhaps I should use some of my hard earned
money to buy some new stamps—and I did! Plus, I was super lucky that Lawn Fawn
(my favorite stamp company) was coming out with a new collection for me to go
crazy over.
I also purchased a stamp set that I’ve wanted for a really
long time but never bought because I felt they were too pricey. However, I
recently read online that this Alice in Wonderland stamp set was about to be
discontinued so I had to buy it, hehe. I’m using this stamp set to make
birthday invitations and cupcake toppers. I love them so much—this stamp set
has got to be one of my favorites at the moment.
Here is a set, Sharp backdrops, by Lawn Fawn, that I think
is so awesome. I love that I can make quick and easy stationary using this set;
and, geometric shapes are SO in right now.
Next, I created this card using the stamp set, Good Fortune,by Lawn Fawn, I think this is so cute. I definitely need to make some cards using
this set, for my shop.
I also purchased this stamp set, Summertime Charm, by LawnFawn, because it’s SO cute. I love mason jars, and now I’m in love with the
fact that I can create cards, tags, and many other things with this theme as
well. Not only did Lawn Fawn create an awesome stamp set—they also created coordinating
die cuts too! I used the mason jar die with my Cuttlebug to cut out the mason
jar image.
I also bought these adorable stamp sets: Many thanks, HappyEaster, and Mother’s Day.
Next I wanted to talk about some of the markers that I
bought. The first set I wanted to talk about are the Le Plume II markers, byMarvy Uchida. The very first set I had by this company was given to me by one
of my crafty friends that didn’t want them anymore; and, I had them sitting on
my craft table for a while before I gave them
a try—and I love them now! Namely, because I love to make single layer
cards and these markers can be used directly on paper and they won’t bleed
through. I’ve tried using my Copic makers and Prisma Art markers for coloring
in stamped images on single layer cards but they’d always bleed through and
leave an unprofessional look on the inside of the card—so I stopped using them.
But, these Le Plume pens do the trick, and they come at a great price and in a
wide variety of colors. Also, I don’t know if I mentioned before that these can
also be used on rubber stamps.
Lastly, I wanted to talk about the Spectrum Noir pens that I
bought. I wanted these because I needed colors that would work well for skin
tones, and I didn’t want to spend a fortune on getting the Copics. So, I
decided to give these a try after much hesitation; and, I have to say I’m very
impressed with these. They work just as well as the Copics and they too come
with an attractive price tag, hehe. I expect that I’ll be spending money more
of these very soon.
