How to Make Mini Journal, Part 2, Video
Today I’m super excited to be sharing this project with
everyone! I’m using the new large stitched journaling die by, Lawn Fawn, to
create these really adorable mini journals. If you’re a fan of Lawn Fawn you’ll
know that I did a video for them last year where I showed how to create your
own mini journals from scratch; however, LF came out with the most perfect die
that makes mini journal making a cinch. This die was intended for scrapbooking
but I love that it can also be used by crafters like me that aren’t really into
scrapbooking.
In this video I’ll share how I made the journals using both of
the new paper collections, Hello Sunshine and Let's Polka—both collections are made
by Lawn Fawn, too. I’m also using a two of their new stamp sets: Hello Sunshine,
and Starry backdrops. Both sets are amazingly versatile and really fun to use.
Take a look at this close up image above, you’ll notice the beautiful
sequins I’m using. These are by Pretty Pink Posh! I love their sequins and
ribbon—they add so much to all of my projects. For more details on the colors used feel free view my video below.
Now it's time for the video!
I was on the fence about the large die, but after seeing this video, I went ahead and purchased it. LOVE this mini album so much, Nicole!
ReplyDeleteYay! Thank you so much :-)
DeleteOh gosh, to cute for words! EEE!
ReplyDeleteBTW I used the glossy accent on the card also, let me know if any of them popped off. I was curious about that too!I kinda used a ton as I am sure you could tell ha!
I agree with Paulina, the die was one of the few things I didn't grab because, you know, not a scrapbooker. You are a genius :P
All the sequins stayed intact so I think it works great! I really love this large die, I like it for making larger cards, like my St. Patrick's Day card, and for cute little things like this. I'm also trying to figure out how to use this die for a treat bag.
DeleteIt's too bad you're not into scrapbooking, because you'd be great at making the layouts (and your photos are always perfect). All of your designs are always so awesome. I love these mini journals, and I'll watch the video later with my daughter (already subscribed to your channel).

I know it's so weird but I can't get into it. I don't know why, hehe. I think it might be because when it comes to scrapbooking I'm into the vintage black pages and only pictures. I don't like adding things around my pictures for some reason.
DeleteHi Nicole, your mini journals are absolutely charming and delightful! You've certainly sparked my inspiration to make a set of these to use up some 12 x 12 sheets I have. Fabulous! Thank you ever so much!

I subscribe to Lawn Fawn's blog, and that is how I saw this video. Such a simple (or not, if you embellish a lot!) project. So inspiring! Thanks for sharing. :)
